LA for All is a creative-led initiative to stand against hate and stand for the values of belonging, diversity, and inclusion.
The innovative program, which meets at the intersection of community, advocacy, and art is designed to achieve two things:
Uplift targeted communities and emphasize the Los Angeles values of belonging, diversity, and inclusion through messaging and artwork created by LA Artists.
Encourage the reporting of hate crimes and hate incidents and provide access to resources for anyone who has seen or experienced hate in the city.
This iteration of the LA for All campaign combines artwork by LA Asian American and Pacific Islander Artists with hate crime and hate incident reporting information and resources.
By infusing positive images into LA’s physical and digital spaces, LA for All further empowers people with a tangible sense of the Art of Belonging for the city’s marginalized residents and visitors.
LA for All is a call to action, not only to encourage the reporting of hate crimes and hate incidents, but also to make it loud and clear that LOS ANGELES IS FOR EVERYONE.

LA for All ~ The Art of Belonging initiative is a collaborative effort through the leadership and support of: Mayor Eric Garcetti; Councilmember John Lee, Councilmember Nithya Raman, Councilmember Mark Ridley-Thomas and the Los Angeles City Council; the Civil + Human Rights and Equity Department; the Department of Cultural Affairs; the Board of Public Works; the Department of Transportation; Los Angeles World Airports; and many other city departments, agencies, community leaders, and artists.
Posters with work by featured artists Simonette David Jackson, Phung Huynh, Eliseo Art Silva, and Chie Yamayoshi are now featured on DASH buses, at LAX, at the Los Angeles Public Library, and on bus shelters across the city sending the message that “Los Angeles is for Everyone!”
